I love Pinterest! It is my favorite social media platform, although it truly isn’t a social media platform at all. But we will get to that later!

I have been a member of Pinterest for personal use for several years. My favorite thing is scrolling through my feed and finding new things to try. I love that I can search for something I need and have tons of search results that perfectly solve my problem.

How did Pinterest Get It’s Start?

According to Wikipedia: “Pinterest is a web and mobile application startup that operates a software system designed to discover information on the World Wide Web. Registration is required for use. The site was founded by Ben Silbermann, Paul Sciarra and Evan Sharp.

Pinterest CEO Ben Silbermann summarized the company as a “catalog of ideas,” rather than as a social network, that inspires users to “go out and do that thing.”

Why do I love Pinterest?

I love Pinterest as a user and business owner.

  1. It is beautiful, with pins on so many different topics.

  3. I can save ideas and information for later.
  4. I love that it is neat and organized with boards to help me find things again later.
  5. It is a big traffic driver for my business.
  6. It helps my tribe find me so I can help them.

Pinterest ads are called Promoted Pins.ย You can turn any pin into an ad. Just like the rest of Pinterest, promoted pins can take a little time to get going.
